Answer

How does checkout lock an area?

When an area shows as available, checkout starts a hold. The first operator to complete successful payment for that sector and area secures the Local Enquiry Licence; the area then moves to secured state for that sector.

In plain English

  • Open areas can move to in-checkout while you pay
  • Completed payment secures exclusivity for your sector in that area
  • National Licence locks UK-wide inventory when selected
  • Always confirm live status on the availability page

How it works

  1. Choose sector + locations
  2. Check and reserve your slot at checkout
  3. Complete Stripe checkout
  4. Finish onboarding so activation can run

Common questions

Can two operators pay for the same area?

No. Inventory is exclusive; once your checkout completes successfully, the slot is secured for your sector in that area.

What if someone is already in checkout?

The availability page shows in-checkout state. If they do not complete, the area can reopen — always check live status.

Is payment the only lock?

Successful payment is the commercial lock; onboarding details are still required for activation.
